harald kippenes Harald Kippenes came to prominence in the 2005 BBC recreation of the Amundsen & Scott race to the South Pole. A native Norwegian, he divides his time between his home in Oslo and his mountain retreat on the shores of stunning Nordfjord, which also serves as one of the bases for ‘Yourway’, his popular adventure travel company. Harald has a lifelong experience with outdoor activities and adventures. Harald’s adventures include two expeditions to Cho Oyu (the world’s sixth highest mountain), a crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in a sailboat following the original Viking route. He has also bicycled from Norway to China, and conducted emergency relief work in Haiti and Pakistan. He also has seven years of operational experience from the Norwegian Navy. He enjoys the contrasts in life and it does not mean it need to be extreme and hard. A short hike, an evening spent in the hamoc, and longer expedition, all gives different perspectives in life. When he’s not introducing people to epic adventures in Norway, Harald can be found in his log cabin, playing his guitar or listening to Johnny Cash. He has a Wilderness First Responder medical certification and is a certified climbing instructor. Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
